May change based on resources, venue, and other factors. Prior notifications will be issued.
Band Competition
-
The theme ‘Time travel’ is up to interpretation by the band leader. With that said, songs should be appropriate in nature to the event and audience.
-
All areas should confirm song choices no later than Sunday 9th June.
-
The allocation of songs will be on “first come, first serve” basis.
-
Bands should be no larger than 7, and no less than 4 members.
-
No more than half can be SFC, but the band can be all YFC.
-
Bands are allowed to swap singers/musicians between songs.
-
The band can play as many songs (or part thereof) as the band wants. However, due to time constraints, the entire performance must not exceed 10 minutes, 10% deduction per minute over, or part thereof. Set up time and spiels will be included in the total time available. Consideration will be given appropriately to any unforeseen and unfortunate situations (e.g. mic/instrument failure).
Chorale Competition

The theme ‘Time travel’ is up to interpretation by the chorale leader. With that said, songs should be appropriate in nature to the event and audience.

All areas should confirm song choices no later than Sunday 9th June. The allocation of songs will be on “first come, first serve” basis.

There is no limit for how many can join the chorale group.

No more than half of the members can be SFC, but all can be YFC.

Spiels are optional; however, it is advised that spiles do not exceed 1 minute and should be done at the beginning of the performance.

Choreography, and costumes need to be appropriate for the audience.

No instruments (besides your voice teehee) can be used. Significant points will be deducted.

Due to time constraints, the entire performance must not exceed 6 minutes. 10% deduction per minute over, or part thereof
Cheer Competition

For cheer, the theme ‘Time travel’ does not apply. The songs chosen for cheer should be appropriate in nature to the event and audience.

All areas should confirm song choices no later than Sunday 9th June. The allocation of songs will be on “first come, first serve” basis.

Total number of members should not exceed 25, due to limited floor space. There should be a mix of sisters and brothers.

No more than half of the members can be SFC, but all can be YFC.

Due to time constraints, the entire performance (including chants) must not exceed 5 minutes. 10% deduction per minute over, or part thereof

Lyrics should be appropriate (no explicit language, foul theme, offensive context).

Choreography and costumes need to be appropriate for the audience. Please note that stunts should be performed with the safety of the members in mind.
Dance Competition

For dance, the theme ‘Time travel’ does not apply. The songs chosen for dance should be appropriate in nature to the event and audience.

All areas should confirm song choices no later than Sunday 9th June. The allocation of songs will be on “first come, first serve” basis.

Due to limited floor space, total number of dancers on the dance floor should not exceed 25 except the last part. However, dancers can be swapped throughout the performance. For the very last dance, all members must be present.

No more than half of the members can be SFC, but all can be YFC. There should be a mix of sisters and brothers.

Spiels are optional; however, it is advised that spiels do not exceed 1 minute and should be done at the beginning of the performance.

Entire dance performance must not exceed 5 minutes. 10% deduction per minute over, or part thereof.

Lyrics should be appropriate (no explicit language, foul theme, offensive context).

Dance moves and costumes need to be appropriate for the audience.
Praise Parade

For Praise Parade, the theme ‘Time travel’ does not apply.

Each performance entry should not exceed 5 minutes in duration.

Choreography and costumes should be appropriate in nature to the event and audience.

It is encouraged that ALL (SFC & YFC) members participate in this competition.

There is no limit to the number of participants, however, it is advised that all are involved.

The banner will not be a separate competition, but a section of the criteria will be dedicated to the banner. The banner for uniformity, need to be hand-drawn, hand-coloured or hand-painted and about 1m wide by 2m tall.

Music to the praise parade is uniform to all area delegation and cannot be altered or modified.

Praise parade song is ‘This is Our Time’ by Planet Shakers.
